Jake grew up in Clay Center, KS where he was raised up in the church singing hymns and eventually praise choruses. His path into vocational ministry bears a resemblance to Jonah in the fact that God kept nudging him towards it despite Jake’s perceived plans and paths. God continually built and affirmed a passion in him for intimate, real, and powerful worship through the arts. After graduating from Central Christian College in McPherson, KS he served as a part-time worship leader and youth group leader before eventually being called to New Life. He and his wife, Sarah, were thrilled to accept the call into full-time vocational ministry in November 2016.
